Michèle nidijinikaz
Kwey Kwey,
My name is Michèle, and I celebrate my Algonquin ancestry through summer gatherings at powwows. I’ve never really thought much of my hands and their use, other than being tools to communicate. During ceremonies at pow wows, we raise our fans to the sky to honour the spirits. I enjoy making things with my hands and gifting them to others. Being able to make someone smile through my hands brings me joy.
