Approaching people for this project took courage and gumption. I approached a woman eating soup with her husband on a patio in the market and I was mesmerized by her beautiful hands (and lovely nails). She was competently using chopsticks and acknowledged that the soup was indeed delicious! She was kind and humoured me as I was photographing her hands.
