These are hands of the 98-year-old elder, and she has all her life lived in a traditional way. These hands raised 13 children, and have made clothing, kamiks (boots) and mittens by hand. She still lives in a traditional way in the Arctic Bay. She is using a very sharp traditional tool called a "hulu" to make marks on seal skin.
